Charleston Professional Drivers' Atlas

Our Charleston PDA is most likely the most up do date and accurate atlas currently available. We spent months collecting data and fine tuning every detail to make sure that we are providing the highest quality atlas of the Metro Charleston area. Our owner even got up before dawn to snap the image for the cover! This atlas was designed with the professional driver in mind. It contains only streets, address ranges and county boundaries. The text in this atlas is large and easy to read. If you are a professional driver then this Charleston street atlas is for you!

In-car GPS versus Up-to-date Atlas

There's been a lot of discussion lately about how GPS and in-car navigation has cut into the map business. People ask if we are worried that this will put us out of business. Here is what we think is happening. When people plunk down $2000 for the nav option in dash, or as little as $100 for a TomTom or Garmin, their first reaction is to try to go "map-less". That is resolved the first time they realize the GPS has taken them on a route that was digitally logical, but made no sense in the real world. Sooner or later they realize that the GPS is a very good tool, but ONLY a tool. It still takes a map to get the big picture. Another common misconception is that since the GPS is digital, it must be totally up-to-date. WRONG! Nobody gets new street info into the hands of our customers faster than we do.
